Launching a Book Is a Team Effort

Have you told someone about my new book, God Is Still Good: Gospel Hope & Comfort for the Unexpected Sorrows of Motherhood? If so, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Launching a book is a team effort, and God Is Still Good has been no exception. I’m so grateful for all the wonderful people who have linked arms to get it into the hands of the women it will serve. You included.

Behind-the-scenes, there’s been my family…and my church family…then the friends who have faithfully prayed for this book (for about two years!)…and of course the editors…and the rest of the team at Crossway who helped publish and market the book. Then you again—my readers!

Today I want to highlight one more group of people. These are fellow writers and bloggers, podcasters, and radio hosts who have kindly helped spread the word about God Is Still Good on their media platforms. Reading, writing, and talking about someone else’s book is a real kindness, and I appreciate the time and efforts of these individuals. As a thank you, here’s a shout out to some of these people and their blogs.

(Note: you don’t have to run a blog to write a review! If you read God Is Still Good, you can drop a review. Short is fine, and you can copy and paste on multiple sites like Amazon, Goodreads, Christianbook, Lifeway, Target, Walmart, Mardel, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, or anywhere else you think of. Reader reviews are a practical, helpful way to share about a book.)

Articles & Blogs

Leading up to launch week, several editors welcomed me to write articles for their blogs that pointed to my book. Some articles were original, and others were book excerpts. Written for Chronic Joy, Journeywomen, Crossway, Proverbs31 Ministries, Risen Motherhood, The Gospel Coalition, and Well Watered Women, you can read those articles on my website or by clicking here:

As interview opportunities pop up, it’s fun to meet podcast and radio hosts and get to talk about God Is Still Good. I look forward to telling you more about that another time! But for now, did you know there’s an audiobook version of my book? It was so much fun reading it aloud and praying for all the busy moms who might listen while folding laundry, washing dishes, or driving their kids around. Here’s the link to that:

Thanks so much for sharing this book-writing journey with me!
