God Knows Mother’s Day Is Hard

God knows Mother’s Day is hard…

For the single woman who wants a family.

For the woman who misses her mother.

For the woman who is infertile.

For the mom who has miscarried or experienced a stillbirth.

For the mom with an estranged child.

For the mom who has lost a child.

For the mom who feels like a failure.

For the mom who [you fill in the blank].

God knows Mother’s Day is hard for you or someone you love, and I want to remind you:

God sees your tears.

He hears your prayers.

He hasn’t forgotten you.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate you from God’s love:

Not a serious diagnosis.

Not a child’s rebellion.

Not your fear nor anxiety.

Not your heartache nor loss.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life…nor things present nor things to come…nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

God loves you, and he is still good.

Wait for him.

“I will wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.”

Psalm 130:5
